Esala perahera is one of the most significant religious festival in our country. Frotunatly.I had the opportunity to participate in it for several times. this procession is held in August every year . this perahera is very important than many other religious pageants as the sacred tooth relic is taken out for the occasion and that is not limited to one day because it is held for several days. Hoverer during the festival season kandy becomes an over crowded city even at night .as well as Dalada Maligawa ,streets decorates in brilliant way .Esala perahera is including many tradition event such as dancing beating drums & singing ets . During that season people are camming to kandy in townland's & gaining to opportunity for watching & worshipping our sacred tooth relic.In addition to that the aims for conducting this procession anually getting rains to the country for agricultural purpose at right time & invoking blessing to all civilians .so, this is one o...
